    It is true, that that ThreatFire does not need updates, but in 3 years new technics have evolved against which you are not protected. I have recommended you pretty solid behaviour blockers.

    Don't forget about software vulnerabilities. Who knows if criminals have found a way to bypass ThreatFire? If 're running just ThreatFire for virus protection, that probably would not be the best idea even if it is still supported. Behavioral blocking is built into antiviruses nowadays, anyway, usually under "heuristic protection" or something like that.
