Windows 10: Thrustmaster steering wheel doensn't get seen by control panel

Hello i have a problem with my Thrustmaster t248. the control pannel and the firmware updater doesn't see my steering wheel. i have tried reinstalling both instances and searched online for a solution, but was not abel to find anything. my steering wheel turns on fine. i dont know what the problem is the steering wheel worked fine last year and now that i wanted to race again it doesn't work anymore. sorry for the bad english its not my first languege.thanks in advance for the help

My steering wheel has been detected as controller

so my steering wheel has been detected as controller and i cant use it normally, no force feedback and messed up buttons...
my wheel is thrustmaster t150 and drivers are up to date, even when i tried reinstalling it, it still doesn´t work so please help me

 

Thrustmaster Wheel Setup Problems

Thank you for replying. To answer your questions is

1 The model is Thrustmaster TMX FFB Wheel connected to 3 pedals base unit which makes it Thrustmaster TMX Pro.

2. It is identified in Device Manager as a Human Interface Device. "(Thrustmaster FFB Wheel (USB )"

3. Other machine is running the same window 10 version.

When Using the other persons PC, I click on Apps, Thrustmaster FFB Racing Wheel, Control Panel and Thrustmaster's control panel comes up. So I can then set up the Wheels and pedals.

When I try on my Pc, I click on Apps, Thrustmaster FFB Racing Wheel, Control Panel and Window's control panel comes up. Unable to set up the wheel and pedals

This is why I said that "it is nothing to do with the wheel or Thrustmaster's control panel" as it all works on other machine. It appears to me that somehow windows is going to its own control panel set up for some reason on
my computer only. Hope this helps you.

Please answer these questions to assist you better.

1. What is the exact make and model of your computer and Thrustmaster steering wheel?

2. When you say “All the drivers are up to date” are you referring to Bluetooth drivers or Thrustmaster drivers?

Follow the Methods below and check.

Method 1: I suggest you to try connecting Thrustmaster to a different computer and check if that works.

If not follow next Method.

Method 2: Run Hardware and Devices Troubleshooter

Follow these steps to run Hardware and Devices troubleshooter:

1. Press Windows key + X key and select Control Panel.

2. Type troubleshooting in search box and Select Troubleshooting.

3. Select View all on the top left corner.

4. Click Hardware and Devices.

5. Follow the on-screen instruction to run the troubleshooter.

If issue persists follow Next Method.

Method 3: Uninstall and reinstall the driver

I suggest you to try uninstall the USB drivers check if it works for you.

Follow the steps to uninstall the Touchpad drivers:

1. Press Windows Key + X key and click Device Manager.

2. Right-click on the USB listed and click on ‘Uninstall’.

3. Restart the computer after its uninstalled.

4. Reinstall latest driver from Manufacturer website.
