    Thumbnail cache crashing constantly


    I'm dealing with a major issue on my Windows 11 device – the thumbnail cache keeps crashing constantly, and it's really frustrating. I've tried all the methods mentioned in the Microsoft community, and they seem to work, but only for a few minutes. Every time I create a new folder or install a new program, the thumbnails start crashing again. They get all blurred out, and it's a mess. I'll attach a screenshot of the issue below. I really need to figure out the reason behind this and find a permanent fix. Any ideas?

    Thumbnail Cache

    anyone know how to move the thumbnail cache to another HDD?

    i already moved my temp folder to another HDD but thumbnail cache takes up space Fast, and i have having to erase the space cuzz i don't wanna ware down my SSD over time

    i also just googled where the thumbnail cache is and its in the %LocalAppData%\Microsoft\Windows\Explorer ,But how would you go about moving that 1 Folder and having the system know that's its the new path

    Windows 10 keeps deleting thumbnail cache

    My thumbnail cache for everything is constantly being deleted. I can open up a folder with a few jpeg's, back arrow , and immediately return to the folder and all of the thumbnails have to reload again. It happens on every drive I have. It's happening
    on the drive the operating system is installed on, and it's happening to all of my hard drives and external thumb drives. There is a registry edit that supposedly stops windows 10 from deleting thumbnails on reboot, however, windows 10 is immediately deleting
    thumbnail cache as soon as I leave the folder......Not just after a reboot. How do I stop this? The operating system is basically useless if I have to wait for thumbnails to constantly load. I work with photo's and videos all day, and I spend half of my day
    waiting for thumbnails to re-load.
