Windows 10: Thumbnails on the right of the taskbar are not working

I've just installed the new update 20H2 and after that the thumbnail buttons on the right side of the taskbar stopped working. These include action center,clock,battery and wifi settings.

My device is HP - 0077tx.
Windows specifications:
Edition Windows 10 Enterprise
Version 20H2
Installed on ‎05-‎01-‎2020
OS build 19042.450

Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.31.0


I've tried a lot of trouble shooting methods but none of them worked.

The methods that I tried includes:

1.Restarting windows explorer from task manager.

2.Using power shell

3.Using sckdsk /scan in command prompt.

4.Turning icons on/off

and some more.....

Any help would be appriciated.

It looks like you may have set your taskbar thumbnails threshold too low by mistake.

Check to see what you have for the NumThumbnails DWORD value, and adjust as/if needed.

Taskbar Thumbnails

For some reason, when I hover over a program in the taskbar and there are multiple instances open, rather than 2 thumbnails, I get a list. How can I fix this? I have attached a photo to show the issue.
