    Thunderbird freezing in Windows 11


    Since updating to Windows 11 my main email app - Thunderbird - is constantly freezing with the error message "Thunderbird is unresponsive". Everything on the monitor goes Gray and stays like that for up to a minute, then it starts working again. I suspect that it has not kept pace with the latest Operating System and it has become incompatible, but that is only a guess. I have been using Thunderbird for years and had no problems with Windows 10 and previously with Windows 7.Is there a simple fix for this condition, or should I be looking for another email application. I also use Gmail and
