    Ticking sound when screen goes to sleep


    My system is set to a 5 minutes screen sleep time, so when the screen is ideal for 5 minutes it sleeps. Every time the screen sleeps a ticking sound keep on coming until I wake it up. The sound is like the one similar to "mobile phone's camera trying to focus and taking snap".I have tried the following 1. Windows+ R2. control powercfg.cpl,,33. USB settings > USB selective suspend setting > Plugged inI disabled itbut that did not work.

    Computer goes to Sleep mode automatically

    Thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community. Apologize for the inconvenience caused to you.

    I suggest you to follow the steps provided below if not tried already and check if it helps.

    • Navigate to Start>Settings>System>Power & sleep.
    • In the right pane, select Never from the drop down list for
      Screen       and Sleep.
    • Close the dialog box and check for status.

    Hi,

    The previous update you installed could be the cause as to why you encounter this issue. We would like to ask for additional information. Please provide the following:

    • Which build of Windows 10 are you using? To know about it, hit
      Start, type Winver and then press
      Enter. You could also press Windows Key + R, type
      Winver into the
      Run dialog and press Enter.
    • Were there any changes made on your computer prior to the issue?
    • Can you tell us what troubleshooting steps have you done so far?

    Furthermore, we suggest that you check the Power & sleep settings
    if sleep option is enabled. Here are the steps:

    • Go to Search then key in Power & Sleep.
    • On far right, select Additional power settings.
    • Select Choose what the power buttons do.
    • Check the Change settings that are currently unavailable, then tick
      Sleep and Save Changes.
    • If you already ticked it, then un-tick it and Save Changes.
    • Go back and tick it again, then Save Changes.

    Ticking sound when screen goes to sleep

    Windows 10 no screen saver, never goes to sleep

    I have a brand new Lenovo all in one desktop with Windows 10. This thing never goes to sleep and the screen saver never comes on even though the settings are turned on.

    Yesterday I got my Brother Multifunction printer/copier/scanner machine (MFC8810DW) up and going with help of Brother. Even though everything prints just fine and the scanner works, the printer model isn't listed as a printer. There is something called a
    Brother pc-fax v.3 listed, but Brother said that's not my printer.. Brother said I should contact Lenovo.

    Not sure if something from printer driver is stepping on something preventing machine from going to sleep and screen saver coming on.
