Windows 10: time added to event game due to traffic at Microsoft.

Why is it that when I click 'continue' after finishing a event game, and it hangs because of traffic at YOUR end, it adds anywhere from 20 to 80 seconds to my time. It's frustrating as hell to see my finish time in the background, but when YOUR system delays the continue, it adds a bunch of time.

NEEDED: A PAUSE button or feature on Microsoft Solitaire timed EVENTS games

Hi, Solitaire game fans -

I am frustrated that I cannot press a pause button, when needed, to step away from an EVENT without the minutes I am away from the game being added to my total play time. I feel this does not give an accurate challenge time, if it includes my time away
from my computer. Does anyone else feel the same?

I THINK GAME DEVELOPERS NEED TO INCORPORATE A PAUSE BUTTON ON EVENT CHALLENGE GAMES. I HOPE THIS SUGGESTION IS SEEN BY A GAME DEVELOPER WHO CAN MAKE THIS HAPPEN.

What is the point of playing in events to compete, if the event timer appears to be random?

Are the ads being added to the timer? Why the Ads any way? Are Xbox and Windows in danger of being broke?

Reminds me of the google/chrome advertise users to death campaign.

I came to the same conclusion as the original poster of that thread.

I did not like the idea of paying for a game that used to be included with the windows setup, with Windows 7.

Which by the way did not stop the ads, the solitaire reverted back to ads anyway.

I sure am not buying a monthly subscription for something that obviously does not work correctly.

Is there a solution to this problem with the timer not otherwise mentioned in that thread?
