Windows 10: Time zone in one particular place in my Microsoft account.

Hello! I have an issue with time zone in my Microsoft account. I have already tried to change time zone in my online profile, Windows, Outlook app, everywhere, but in the one place "recent activity" of my account time zone doesn't change. I live in New York City time zone EST but in my account in the section "recent activity" time zone MSK screenshot attached. I wrote to Microsoft support and Outlook support, and they gave me the simple recommendations that I've already known. I assume that is problem somewhere at the Microsoft server side. Please, let me know how to resolve that issue.

Time Zones do not change

Thanks for taking the time to help. I appreciate it.

I opened the account on my computer which has Administrator Privileges and ran regedit.

In the first string you suggested, it was already set to NTP.

In the second string, I changed the value to 3, as instructed.

Regrettably, after the restart - the trouble is still present. The Time Zone is still stuck on the time zone of the place I started my trip from.

I opened Settings>Time and confirmed that the toggle is set to Automatically Detect/Change the Time Zone, but it clearly isn't working. Additionally, the place where it displays the Time Zone (which if you click on usually drops down a list where you can
select a new TZ) is grayed out and not longer drops down a list if you click upon it.

Also grayed out is the toggle allowing you to choose to ignore Daylight Savings.

Hmmm. Puzzling.

Try the classic “Date and Time” applet in the classic Control Panel as a workaround.

You can launch it via Control Panel or run timedate.cpl via the Run dialog.

Can't change time zone

We understand your concern as you are unable to set the correct time zone after resetting the PC.
In order to get clarity and to assist you accordingly, please reply with the answers to the questions below:

• What is the Version and Build of Windows 10 installed on the PC? (Type
  winver in Windows search/Run command)
• What is the make and model of the PC?
• Are you logged in to the PC as an Administrator user?

Meanwhile, we would suggest you to refer the below steps to re-register windows time service.

1. Click on Start menu and type
   CMD, right click on CMD and select Run as Administrator.
   
2. Copy and paste the command and press Enter:
   w32tm /register
   
3. Restart the PC and then try setting the time Zone
   

Also, we would suggest you to check the Windows time service.

1. Press Window + R key and type
   services.msc, click OK
   
2. Scroll down and select
   Windows time service
   
3. Double click on the service and set the
   Startup type to Automatic
   
4. Then Start the service.
   

If the issue persists, then we would suggest you to create a new administrator user account and check, refer this article to
create a local user or administrator account in Windows 10.
