Windows 10: Timezone only showing UTC

Discus and support Timezone only showing UTC in Windows 10 Software and Apps to solve the problem; Needing some assistance, I have checked every setting at this point and the local time of my computer is showing the correct EST time zone, however...     Timezone only showing UTC


    Needing some assistance, I have checked every setting at this point and the local time of my computer is showing the correct EST time zone, however after traveling from the west coast back to the east coast I am unable to get my time zone back to EST. After checking my time zone settings I see that the only options available for me are UTC time zones and not EST. I have also tried going into Outlook calendar to attempt changing the time zone there but run into the same problem of UTC being the only option, and another issue is that Microsoft Teams is showing Pacific time.

    Custom Home timezone

    As far as I am aware there is no ability to add a custom timezone but if you look in the list of timezones,
    you will see one that matches your timezone (UTC -4; UTC -3 second Sunday in September to third Sunday in April).

    Hi Taseeen15

    When entering date & time settings do you click the box where the actual timezone is listed. Hopefully a full list of timezones should appear when you click. You can then use your mouse wheel to scroll up and down in the list and select UTC+1.

    Timezone only showing UTC

    Windows thinks Amsterdam is in timezone UTC +1

    I had to adjust the time settings on my new laptop, but I noticed something odd. Right now I'm in The Netherlands so I changed the timezone to the "right" one. Here's a screenshot of my current settings: https://i.gyazo.com/69924f47e903658652e60518c952747b.png

    As you can see it says Amsterdam, but UTC +1 is wrong. We're currently in UTC +2. How can I get Windows to recognize this?
