Timing pauses when I shut down computer, and starts from that paused time when I switched computer on.Yesterday, I switched off my computer at 10:44pm, and startd it now only, but time is 10:44pmWhat to do, to make the time continuous?Please answer it ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!!

NEEDED: A PAUSE button or feature on Microsoft Solitaire timed EVENTS games

Hi, Solitaire game fans -

I am frustrated that I cannot press a pause button, when needed, to step away from an EVENT without the minutes I am away from the game being added to my total play time. I feel this does not give an accurate challenge time, if it includes my time away
from my computer. Does anyone else feel the same?

I THINK GAME DEVELOPERS NEED TO INCORPORATE A PAUSE BUTTON ON EVENT CHALLENGE GAMES. I HOPE THIS SUGGESTION IS SEEN BY A GAME DEVELOPER WHO CAN MAKE THIS HAPPEN.

Can I pause Windows updates several times?

Sorry, I didn't mean exactly not following directions, I meant that the possible suggestions which were very listed are just too complicated for me. The possibility of disabling through Services via the Start menu (which is different from the services I see with Task Manager) is something I can do. But, I also saw that one should disable the Windows Update Medic Service. Your link certainly shows that that is not so easy to do.

I guess I'll throw in the towel and ask my computer guy to look into this.

I just discovered that when I check Windows Update Settings, I can pause for a long period.

If I quite the Update Settings, and then check again, the pause dates are increased.

In short, the problem of being able to pause for a longer period of time has been solved for me.

 

Extending time screen remains active when a pause is taken during typing

My screen shuts down after 15 seconds when I pause during typing. How do I extend the time to a minute? I'm only one using computer in my room so it's safe. I pause for a thought and my screen goes back to entry and I need to enter password again to
activate.
