    Title: Persistent Unauthorized Verification Code Requests for Months for Outlook email


    Hello Microsoft Support and Community,I was unable to find a direct line of communication to Microsoft security department and I hope this is okay to post on here.For the past six months, maybe longer, I have been receiving numerous verification code requests for my outlook email, about 2-3 times a day. It's evident that someone is attempting unauthorized access to my account. I find it concerning that the system doesn't flag this repetitive behavior as suspicious. Recently, it has gotten to a point which is ridiculous, 17 verification codes across the span of 2 days. The IP address are from a

    I understand that you are receiving a wrong verification code for email verification, we will look into this for you. However, please reply with the following details to assist you further:



    • Where exactly do you get the prompt/notification to verify the email address?
    • How are you trying to verify the email?


    However, you can try using other options to request the verification code i.e. requesting the code over a call or as a text to your phone number and see if that helps in resolving the issue.

    The two-step verification emails show up in my inbox but I added a rule to mark the domain name safe a long time ago (verified that "techpowerup.com" is still in the safe sender list).

    Hi

    I have been contantly asked to verify my email. when I try the system asks for a code. The email I receive has a code; 7 numbers long..... the code requested allows only 4 numbers.

    Why? and how do I resolve?
