Windows 10: .tmp file remain on my desktop whenver i download anything from chrome

i have this mildly annoying problem whenever i succesfully downloaded any file from chrome, it leave behind a .tmp file that disappear after i refresh with right click, even when i changed the download directory, they still make a .tmp file on my desktop. I have been searching the fix for this from the last 2 years, still no result. Can you help me with this ?

for a while now my "downloads" folder has been full of .tmp files that make it impossible to find any real downloads in the folder.

I read online these files might be associated with chrome, but I don't know the steps to deal with this issue.

How to change location of MSI????.tmp file

Hi,

You may change the location of the .tmp file by following the steps provided below:

• Go to This PC.
• Right-click This PC, and then select Advanced System Setting.
• Click Environment Variables.
• Under system variable, double-click tmp and change the path for the file of your reference.

If the location still can't be changed, we suggest that you post it on our

I suggest you to uninstall the application and download the setup files or install directly from Internet explorer by following the steps below:

• To will get a notification on the right side of the browser to download and install Google Chrome.
