Windows 10: .tmp files keep appearing on my computer's desktop and other errors

I bought a new pc and began putting things like my documents, pictures, and music from my old computer on my new computer. It wasn't long before I received a message that onedrive was full and I could not put any new files on. I'm stumped that's never happened to me before. I thought the files were being stored locally on my computer's hard drive. I went into settings then disabled the microsoft account and told it to use a local account. After that I deleted the one drive app because I wanted to make sure that didn't happen again. Now I'm getting various error messages. I can't move, change or delete any files on my desktop. I tried to save an important document to my desktop but got an error message that I don't have permission to do that.and it asked me if I want to save it to my one drive documents folder. I don't want to do that. I want them stored locally on my computer. Someone told me to go to file explorer click on desktop and create an account named everyone and give it administrator privileges after I did it that problem was better now I am getting another problem. I keep getting .tmp files appearing on my desktop. It seems to happen when I download something or install a program on my pc. I've tried deleting them but I get a message that I can't delete them. I read something were you can go into file explorer check hide system files. When I did that the .tmp files were gone from my desktop I thought my problem was over. However I downloaded software for a new mouse and there were .tmp files on my desktop again. I had to go back in check the box to show hidden files and then check the box to hide them. After that those files were gone. How can I keep that from happening? Why aren't they going in the temp folder? I'm beginning to think I need to get a computer tech to reinstall windows 10 on my computer but I just purchased MS office and don't want to lose that and need to redo anything. Any help is appreciated.

How to change location of MSI????.tmp file

You may change the location of the .tmp file by following the steps provided below:

• Go to This PC.
• Right-click This PC, and then select Advanced System Setting.
• Click Environment Variables.
• Under system variable, double-click tmp and change the path for the file of your reference.

Windows 10; After Each Prt Job, .TMP File Left in Printers Folder; Can't Delete, Error in Printfilterpipelinesvc.exe

windows 10 deleted my desktop files

Step 1 - I upgraded to Win 10 and lost all my files on Desktop.

Step 2 - Found the files in Network - USers- Desktop

copied all files again to desktop.

Step 3- Restarted my machine again and lost desktop files again.

Step 4 - As suggested did the following as listed below but dont find my files.

• Press “Windows + E”, open This PC/Computer
• Open Local Disc C, open Windows.old
• Click on Users, select your User name
• Go to desktop folder

Cant find my files. Why is Win 10 deleted files again and again from Desktop ?.
