    today's windows 10 download halted at 98%, computer unresponsive to restart again showing...


    Today's Win 10 update was started over 3 hours ago. The screen is frozen showing "working on updates 98% complete don't turn off your computer" The SSD activity light has been on all this time.How do I recover my computer from this state? The computer was working fine up until allowing a restart of the computer to add the updates.

    Windows 98 problem

    why not try to use virtual PC and emulate windows 98 on a XP machine or did someone already suggest that?

    Windows 10 forced download

    I actually had a client call yesterday with an email problem. when I tried walking him through some steps, he says "Yeah, I don't see that there, but I think it's because it's updated to windows 10. It did that a few weeks ago. I came back in on Monday, and it said Welcome to Windows 10"..... I think I'd throw the computer out the window.

    Windows 10 update hangs on downloading updates at 98%

    My laptop hangs on downloading windows 10 updates

    I have several updates, I think more then 15. They all say ready for installation. However the windows update window shows downloading at 98%. I have restarted the laptop many times now, but it keeps saying downloading at 98%. This for more then 24 hours.

    Can anybody please help me?
