Windows 10: Toggling from Microsoft Mail to the new Outlook program

Regarding the upcoming switch from Microsoft Mail to Outlook: I have several computers on a home network. My question is, if I toggle to Outlook on one computer, how will this affect the other computers? Will these other computers also be forced to use the new Outlook program? Thank you.

Delete mails in Outlook but want to keep mails untouch in webmail

When I deleted an email in outlook and my webmail got deleted too. I want to keep all the inbox mails from the webmail even I complete deleted in outlook. I spend hrs can't think it out how. Any step by step instruction? I'm using IMAP account btw. Thanks and Merry Christmas.

I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing some issues with Windows Mail, based on my enquiries and testing, the Try new Outlook toggle button currently taken in Windows Mail is an internal test button. It simply opens the web version of Outlook to use your email account, this new outlook will not directly replace Windows Mail as these functions are still in beta for testing.



From the method you have tried, which appears to be from the following article, this procedure only applies to Outlook in the Office suite and the method of modifying the registry usually only applies to .EXE programs, unfortunately Windows Mail is a UWP version of the application and customisation of such programs is limited and usually follows your Windows updates to introduce new features.

How to Toggle an Outlook Mail Icon on Quick Launch

I have placed an icon controlling the Outlook Mail application on the Quick Launch Toolbar. By Outlook mail I mean the W10 app that interfaces with Outlook.com (not the original Outlook). My problem is that I want to toggle this icon so that it will turn on Outlook and then turn off Outlook when I hit it a second time. If I place the icon provided by the app on the Taskbar it will toggle but I have to make my own icon for Quick Launch. I am not sure if this is simply a characteristic of Quick Launch or if I can make an icon that will work the way I want it to? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
