I've seriously struggled with this for about 10 hours of troubleshooting by now, and I'm asking here on the off chance this problem is even fixable without buying more hardware. It started Friday the 17th when the router got unplugged. I then plugged it in the next morning. The WIFI worked to an extent I'll explain later Saturday morning, but when I tried restarting the router, the WIFI completely stopped working. Saturday night, I restarted the router once more, and the WIFI worked again, to an extent. When I try launching many apps Minecraft, the Microsoft Store, etc. they will try t

    My internet keeps dropping out!

I suggest you connect your laptop to the router with a ethernet cable. If the wired connection is stable you know that there is nothing wrong with the internet connection itself and with your LAN. Next step would be to go to the website of your laptop manufacturer and look for the latest WLAN drivers. Install them and test whether it improves the reliability of your WLAN connection. Then post back the results.

  3. Apps don't connect to Internet

    Hi Manuel,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

Sorry for the inconvenience caused to you.

This usually occurs if you have connected to a proxy server or date and time is not set correctly according to your time zone. Let's try the following methods to fix this issue.

    Step 1: Check if the
proxy server is enabled. If yes, I would suggest that you disable it.

    Follow the given below steps:

    • Click the Gearbox (settings)
at the top right corner in Internet Explorer.
    • Click on Internet Options and select
      Connections tab.
    • Click on LAN settings and uncheck the box next to “proxy server for your LAN”.
    • Click OK to save and close the window.

Step 2: Check if the date, time and time zone are set according to your time and time zone.

The store app uses https instead of http which is used by other apps, so in order for the SSL handshake to proceed, the clock on the client and server needs to be correct.

Follow these steps to set the date and time:

    • Press Windows key and type “Date and Time” in the search bar.
    • Click Change date and time button (To change the time zone click on time zone tab).
    • Click Apply and OK to save the date and time.

Hope this will help you. Keep us posted with the status of the issue. We’ll be glad to assist if you need further assistance.

    Thank you.
