Windows 10: Toolkit Error Messages

Hi,


I have this problem where when Toolkit tries to launch, I get a bunch of error messages (shown below), but it doesn't seem to impact the performance of my Surface Book. These errors appear every time I restart Windows, or when I try to manually launch Toolkit. This might have started happening after I installed a driver for my Wacom Cintiq Pro. As far as I can tell, I can still do everything on my laptop, but the error messages are concerning. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Windows Update Error Message 0x80070543


Ya Ya Ya, there's over a hundred threads like this, ...

Anyway, started getting this error message a few days ago, and done a lot of searching on this error message, apparently it's not, uncommon.

In particular, the (currently) 4 updates that are being affected are:

• Update for Windows 10 Version 1511 (KB3173428) - Error 0x80070543
• Security Update for Windows 10 Version 1511 (KB3172729) - Error 0x80070543
• Security Update for Adobe Flash Player for Windows 10 Version 1511 (KB3174060) - Error 0x80070543
• Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1511 (KB3176493) - Error 0x80070543

The actions I've taken to date are:

1. Uninstalled firewall program (comodo)
2. Uninstalled anti-virus (Avast)
3. Reset the windows update catalog on local machine.

So the above errors are with the above done.

What other steps should I be taking to resolve the issue?

^ what they said will both work. i suggest updating directX, and in the future please try and list the exact error message... and i want a muffin.

 

Nokia 5310c-2 SIM Toolkit

Nokia Series 40 leverages the USIM software part of a SIM since the 3rd Edition. Furthermore, the network stated it does not like that SIM (anymore). Otherwise, you
would not get that error message at all. Therefore, that message is not related to USIM or 3G. Either the SIM is broken or got disabled by your network operator.

When it comes to the SIM Toolkit, that is listed in the main menu normally. Did you scroll to the very end of the list? Depending on your firmware variant, SIM Toolkit is the first entry within ‘Organizer’. Theoretically, the menu item could be anywhere
because operators could move that item in their firmware variant. Theoretically. Furthermore, the phone might be incompatible with the toolkit version on the SIM, and then that menu item does not appear anywhere. Therefore, please, remove the battery (cover)
and post that 7-letter code which starts with 05. That is the Nokia Product Code which identifies your firmware variant.
