Windows 10: Tools of portable version do not work correctly on my windows 11 PC.

Whatever tools of portable version on my pc of win11 , they cannot be open by double click usually. Sometimes its icon will appear in the tray, but it will automatically exit after a while.However , when i open it in Terminal such as "PowerShell" and "cmd", it works correctly. I dont remember when it become like this , maybe since i upgrade my pc to win11.Hope my question can be solved , it really botheres me for a long time. Thanks a lot !!

Any portable Windows tool that monitors activities on a specific HDD?

Seeking advice on a (preferably) portable Windows tool that shows all activities and / or processes that are accessing a specific HDD. When launching WIndows' Resource Monitor (tab 'Disk') it will show activities on -all- drives. AFAIK there is no way to 'limit' thge display of activities just for one drive out of the list. Any suggestions? Thanks!

 

Snipping tool not working

I'm trying to use the Snipping Tool (Windows+Shift+S) but when it opens up to let me select which part of the screen to select, it blanks out the entire screen so that there is nothing to select. I'm not sure when this stopped working since I do not use it very often. I'm using:

• Edition Windows 11 Pro
  
• Version 21H2
  
• Installed on ‎11/‎6/‎2021
  
• OS build 22000.613
  
• Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.22000.613.0
  
• The Snipping Tool shows version 11.2201.12.0
  

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Snipping Tool will not work (Windows 11)

Hi.
When I attempt to use the snipping tool (Windows key + Shift + S), nothing happens.
I have checked the internet for suggested solutions (of which there are about 11) and applied most of them; the only thing I didn't try was to revert to a previous Windows version but I'm not going to do that. This problem began following the recent Windows 11 update to Version 21H2.

I am using:
Windows 11 Home
Version 21H2
OS Build 22000, 1098

No updates are pending.

The snipping tool is a critical tool so it's broken functionality causes significant problems. So far, I have not found any snipping app that usefully replace the snipping tool.

I'd be grateful for a solution.

(PS, I have no idea which "Product" Option is the correct choice to direct this post to the correct Microsoft Community!!! "Internet Explorer" seems the least ridiculous response but I have Version 11 on Windows 11 and the Windows Version list does not offer a windows 11 option. Why is this so difficult? This problem presumably has nothing to do with Microsoft Edge,the "Product" I selected where asked below, as it is not in use though it is installed.)
