Windows 10: Toshiba HDD will download 500mb then stop please help.

Dear Microsoft Community, I've recently gotten an hdd for my computer because I only had a ssd before and the Toshiba 1tb hdd will download for around 500mb then stop. I've ran the test in HD Tune and an error occurs right around that 50 mark. Please help I really need the storage.

Windows 10 Toshiba HDD/SSD Issues

Since Windows 10 auto-downloaded on my Toshiba computer my HDD/SSD protection isn't working. I contacted Microsoft and they suggested that I put it out to the community. My Toshiba warranty is up and I don't want to pay for support that is clearly only
needed because of Windows 10. Can someone suggest a solution? Many thanks!

• How old is the HDD?
