Windows 10: toshiba laptop s855-s5378 drivers - 64 bit

Has anyone had good hardware driver experience with Windows 10 and a Toshiba S855-S5378 laptop?

I wouldn't mind test driving Windows 10. That would be great. Being around the IT field for a while, I can see how a lack of drivers can be a show-stopper.

Checked the Toshiba site- there are drivers only for Win7, Win8, and Win8.1 - 32/64 now.

When will WIndows 10 Update be ready for Toshiba Satellite S855-S5378?

Still waiting for notice of availability for Toshiba Satellite S855-S5378. Can anyone tell me what is holding up clearance for the Windows 10 Update. Currently running Windows 8.1.

 

Can my Windows 10 laptop support an external 4K TV as a monitor (Toshiba 8Gb,i7,Intel HD Graphics 4000 ?

1.) Can my Toshiba Satellite s855-s5378 with Intel HD graphic 4000, 8Gb, i7 Intel core, support a 4k TV as a monitor ?

Intel HD Graphic 4000 version 10.18.10.4276

I'm running a dual monitor the laptop + external 23inches without a problem. I was hoping that I could replace the 23 in. monitor with a 40-43in TV that is 4K and get an external resolution of 4K on the 4kTV. I have HDMI and USB3 ports on the laptop.



2) Can HDMI or usb3 support 4k directly or via an adapter?

It's a technical preview. It's not a perfect OS. Take the plunge and see what works and what doesn't work and help MS tweak the OS.

 

I'll probably wait until I know that Win 10 will work/operate the various hardware pieces on my laptop. I'm feeling hesitant to reshuffle all my data on my HD, partition it, play with BCDEdit, download experimental version of Win10 - just to possibly find out that for example- the ethernet, monitor screen, wifi adapter do not work. That would not be what I would consider useful - to me or Microsoft.

 

if someone can tell me that they were able to load up Windows 10 on a Toshiba Satellite laptop, preferably on a toshiba laptop s855-s5378... that would be great news and an incentive for me to try to do the same.

 

If you are running Win 8.1, there shouldn't be a problem at all.
