    Thanks for all your help.
    I just took a Toshiba motherboard out of the oven. 10 minutes at 385f and what wouldn't power up, now will ;-)

    PS, just an FYI
    I did the clean install on little Sis's HDD. I didn't use compatibility mode when I loaded the SD card reader driver and there was no issue.
