    My parents have one of these each and asked me to do the free upgrade to win 10 that was offered.

    I have managed to get windows 10 on each machine but am not unable to fix my problems.

    Both had Avast Internet Security installed on them. After removing it from both, one manages to work normally, connecting with the internet and picking up an dhcp ip address from the router no problem. The other does not, it sets every network as public, unidentified and with no connectivity. I can use the homegroup troubleshooter to switch the network to private but it immediately changes back.

    I have followed every tech thread I can find on it, reset the catalog and all. When win10 was first upgraded the second laptop connected ok, but after install the first set of win 10 upgrades it wouldn't connect again.

    Both are identical machines so I'm confused as to the problem. The problem laptop has issues with both it QualComm Atheros 8132 ethernet connection and it's wireless connection.

    I have tried netshp resets and deleting all the profiles and other suggestions. I've been checking for drivers but while there is a win 8.1 and win7 64 bit driver there is no win 10 64 bit.

    The first laptop is not having any such problems.

    Any ideas? I'm considering a total reinstall, but am worried that I will be missing many toshiba laptop drivers. Their site has no win 10 drivers for the laptop either.

    Win 10 Pro upgrade? to Win 10 Home?

    My laptop was upgraded to Windows 10 Pro from Win 8.1 Pro (Free upgrade).

    Dec. 3, I got an automatic update installed stating I was being upgraded to Win 10 Home.

    Upgrade?

    How do I get my Pro version back? I checked my restore option and the previous dates were removed.
