Windows 10: Toshiba Satellite 2060CDS not recognising new ram

I bought some additional ram for my old Toshiba Satellite but when I booted into Windows 98 it didn’t recognise it.I don’t know whether it’s the computer itself or just Windows. How would I go about figuring that out without windows 98. Could I check in the BIOS, and if so how would I get there?

CPU Benchmark & Specs | Hitesti pros and cons for 1x16GB or 2x8GB im thinking power draw as in 1=1.5V or 2x1.5V=3V i would like to go as big as i can obviously but dont want to get stuck with a RAM i cant use.

No, it isn't. That's because Toshiba's PC business was spun off as Dynabook and is listed on Crucial as 'Dynabook-Toshiba' now.
