Windows 10: toshiba satellite laptop mouse pad not working

Hi everyone,


This has been an on-and-off problem for a few years, but I didn't know about these forums before...


A few years ago I had a virus on my laptop and that's when it started: my mouse pad would randomly stop working. I had it formatted, so got rid of the virus and the issue continued! I found out that I just need to go onto Control Panel > Mouse and 'Enable LAN' so I just moved on with life. That's all well and good, but a few years down the line, and no more viruses ever coming into the equation, the problem continues.


The problem: Randomly and suddenly, my mousepad stops working, and at the same time so does the Windows button everything else works. Sometimes I go weeks without it happening, then other times it happens several times in the same day?!


I don't know if this is relevant information, but I think I had Windows 8 when the issue first started and changed to Windows 10 when it was formatted. I have had my laptop formatted at least once more since then, and I'm definitely on Windown 10 now.


Has anyone got a similar problem or know how to fix this please? It's getting too frustrating, now that I have to be on my laptop more regularly!!

Touch Pad Mouse for Toshiba wont click

Upgraded to Windows 10 my Toshiba satellite C655 originally had windows 7. Now mouse will not click. tried to uninstall and reinstall touchpad drivers. Any suggestions on how to fix this. Will have to go back to 7 if touch pad will not work.
