Bill, I would pay you for an answer. My Toshiba Satellite laptop/Windows 10 initializes a dvd but will not play it. I have tried 50 different "suggestions," none of which work. With a perfectly good dvd drive, why can't I play a dvd movie? THANK YOU

Toshiba Satellite DVD disappeared

I have a Toshiba Satellite laptop that I recently noticed had the DVD?CDRW disappear after letting it upgrade to Windows 10 from Windows 7.

The laptop has an AMD processor. have tried all the suggestions of doing register edit tweaks to recover the DVD/CD, but none worked.

So now after having Windows 10 on the laptop for more than a year, is there a positive way to recover the DVD/CD? Or can I still go back to Windows 7

 

Toshiba satellite P775-s7215 dvd/blu-ray wont play with windows 10 upgrade

I have a toshiba satellite P775-S7215 and i upgraded from windows 7 to windows 10 and my blu-ray dvd will not play i cant even burn a cd even my corel win/dvd will not play what can i do i looked for drivers but the ones listed are older than the ones
installed please help i contacted toshiba support but they want to charge me to remotely fix it is there another way i can fix it without paying an arm and a leg for something that should be free
