Windows 10: Toshiba USB3 Vision Camera BU1203MC not recognized in the Cameras from Windows 10

After installing the driver of the BU1203MC, the camera will appear in the Device Manager of windows under a custom device "TOSHIBA TELIR Digital cameras, and not in the Cameras list check the attached image.Is there a way to change this setting? Otherwise I'm not able to use it with the Camera App of Windows.

Is there a way to change this setting? Otherwise I'm not able to use it with the Camera App of Windows.

I am Ivan, I will help you with this.

I checked the camera manual, its driver uses the COM to USB system and its driver is recognized as a COM or USB device, but it is not recognized as a camera device since it is not a common camera, you can try using a third-party application to simulate the video connection and try to retransmit as manycam but I'm not sure it will work.

But natively, it is not possible to use it in the Windows camera application.

Lenovo Y510P (Unsupported for Win 10) Camera Driver Needed


Hello and welcome ksuthayya have had a look for a driver for your machine but there are only drivers listed up to 8.1 not 10.

Having said that my old Toshiba was in the same position and yet when I installed 10 Windows updates found drivers for stuff not listed on the Toshiba site.

Now a suggestion would be to get a clip on camera and install it via USB or like wise because it would have it owns driver. If my memory serves me right they are not that expensive - but still annoying eh?.
