Windows 10: Touch bar icon pops on and off

Dell Inspiron 5559


My touch bar icon continuously pops on and off about twice every second in the task bar. This has been happening before; however, it was stopping after a while. Now it is just constantly flashing. I have tried cleaning the touchpad, turning it off, updating windows, and drivers. I think a am missing a driver for the touchpad; however, I have tried installing it manually and it says: "There is no need to install Synaptics pointing device drivers." I assume the problem is with the drivers, which might not be the case.

Surface Pro Touch Keyboard default under Windows 10

Hi Rose,

Sorry for replying to you late.

I would suggest you to Disable Tablet Mode.

Try the following steps:

• Click on Search icon on task bar, type Tablet Mode Settings and select it from the options
• Turn off the settings that says "Make Windows more touch friendly"

Problem in windows 10 Touch Keyboard

I would suggest you to follow the below steps and check if you can get the touch keyboard icon:

• Right Click on the task bar on empty place and
  
• Select the option which says Show touch keyboard button

Touch keyboard pops up at login

If the above steps didn't work, we suggest that you disable the Touch Keyboard and Handwriting Panel Service. Please follow these steps:

• Click on Start.
• Type Services, and then press Enter.
• On the right pane, look for Touch Keyboard and Handwriting Panel Service. Double-click on it.
• Locate the Startup Type drop down, and change it to Disabled.
• Click on Apply button to save changes.
• Click on OK button to close the Touch Keyboard and Handwriting Panel Service
  window.
