Windows 10: Touch Keyboard Icon takes up way too much space on taskbar, so I need to HIDE it in HIDDEN...

I don't know why this is not possible?Touch Keyboard is not appearing in the "System Icons" in Settings, not possible to chose Hide/Show - the only possibility is to keep turning it On or Off, with a lot of extra unwanted work, each time need to reach to it for a whatever keyboard symbol on a different language keyboard, that I don't keep in my memory how to find it.I use UK keyboard and mostly English but sometimes have to change to other languages to write, and I normally remember which letter is where on those other languages, but cannot possibly keep in mind all other signs such as + or =

Permanently Enable Virtual Touch Keyboard in Desktop Mode

I understand your concern regarding the issue that you are facing.

If you want to enable the Touch keyboard follow the steps

• Right Click on the taskbar
• Click on Show touch keyboard button
• Then you will be able to see the keyboard in the taskbar, whenever it’s required you can just click on the icon on the taskbar.

It is not possible to disable the Auto-hide behavior of touch keyboard in Windows 10, whenever you use
the physical keyboard then it will automatically hides the Touch Keyboard.

Taskbar auto hide not working when after click "Show hidden icons"

It's back now.



Whenever I click "show hidden icon", there is no problem with auto hide taskbar anymore. If cursor click it again or click other space, auto hide is automatically done again. But difference with former one is five icon per row on hidden icons.

Taskbar shows us see the programs that we're currently using as well as those that we pinned. It helps us to easily navigate from one program to another. We can update the settings of your taskbar to show it on your desktop. Here's how:

• Press the Windows icon on your keyboard.
• Click on Settings (gear icon).
• Select Personalization then go to Taskbar.
• Check Automatically hide the taskbar in desktop mode and
  Automatically hide the taskbar in tablet mode options. Make sure to turn them off.
