Windows 10: Touch keyboard in Windows 10 laptop won't stay on top

Hello,


I'm a university student and i often write papers in Russian and English. I have a regular latin keyboard so i have to get creative when using my laptop when writing in cyrillic letters. Windows touch pad allows me to write in any language and instantly assigns the physical keyboard's buttons to corresponding letters. The problem is that i have trouble remembering the location of each cyrillic letter because i can't look down to see what i'm typing. The touchpad keyboard would help me see where the letters are located on the keyboard, but it won't stay on top if i touch the physical keyboard. I find that this a very important feature, so if it's not currently possible (to keep the touch keyboard on top regardless if the physical keyboard is touched or not) - whom should i message so that Windows could consider changing this? This would help a lot of students and multilingual people everywhere.

Add the Touch Keyboard Icon to the Action Center

Adding the touch keyboard on the items in Action Center is currently not available in Windows 10. However, you can change the settings to automatically show the touch keyboard when you use the device in tablet mode. If you'd like to do this, you can
follow these steps:

• Click on Start.
• Open Settings.
• Select Devices.
• Go to Typing.
• Under Touch keyboard settings, switch on Automatically show the touch keyboard in windowed apps when there’s no keyboard attached to your device.

Problem in windows 10 Touch Keyboard

Thank you for posting your query on Microsoft Community.

I would suggest you to follow the below steps and check if you can get the touch keyboard icon:

• Right Click on the task bar on empty place and
  
• Select the option which says Show touch keyboard button
