Windows 10: touch screen drivers disappear after sleep mode

Hi,

I recently received a brand new Asus n580vd laptop with a touch screen.

Since receiving it, I just installed the offered windows updates, downloaded some third party known apps (Spotify, Whatsapp.. nothing crazy) and copied my personal files.

I noticed lately that after returning from sleep mode, occasionally the touch screen would stop working. after consulting with asus's help center, we've discovered when this happens, some related touch screen drivers (in human interaction category in device manager) such as HID pen and touch screen (a total of around 6) just disappear from the list. performing a reboot shall restore everything to normal, the drivers shall return to place and the touch screen works.

The help center suggested to try and do a reset through the windows recovery center and run the first setup again. I am willing to go through the hassle of doing so, but I'm a bit skeptical about if this will actually solve the problem since it is a brand new laptop and I haven't done any crazy software manipulations.. therefore, before doing so, I'd like to ask maybe there's some other idea why this problem occurs and how to fix it. Note that I think the problem occurs after a long enough sleep (such that opening the lid won't turn on the display right away and I need to press the power button), sometimes even without restarting, a short time under sleep mode and the drivers return.


another quick question if I may,

I noticed online that one of the latest Windows update (oct. 2018) added some screenshot editing options through the action center. I downloaded the latest updates though the update center and these did not add any of these features (that do not show in the control panel as well)

Is there a reason my laptop should not have such update?

As of January 31st there is no way to show the mouse cursor while touching the screen: Show mouse cursor also when using touch screen

The linked post goes on to recommend using the Feedback app to suggest this feature (or find others who have suggested it and upvote their suggestions).

I'm using HP EliteDisplay S230tm Touch monitor with windows 10 and I have this problem that whenever I enable touch screen mode the cursor disappears from the screen and then I have to move the mouse physically as to know where cursor is present on the screen. Is there any settings through which I can fix this problem or any latest drivers that I can install for fixing it.

Touch Screen on Asus Zenbook UX305 Not Working, HID touch screen driver disappears.

I have an ASUS Zenbook UX305. Whenever I use the laptop after long periods of shut down or sleep, the touch screen stops working and the HID touch screen driver disappears from the device manager. I am using Windows 10. I have tried reinstalling the driver
already (took it back to the store to have this done) but that isn't working at all.
