Windows 10: Touch Screen Not Working on New Monitor

I have windows 11. I added a new touch screen monitor, but the feature is not noted in the human interface devices. Microsoft assigned the monitor as Generic PnP monitor. Do I need to change the monitor driver? If so to what and how?

1. monitor:
   • Panasonic touch-screen monitor.(interactive white board)
   • connected with pc running on windows 7 proffessional.
   • upon turning on it says "touch screen detected" and "touch control transferred to local device."
2. PROBLEM :
   • Touch screen is not present under Device manager>HID.
   • Device manager > monitor shows "generic non-pnp monitor".
   • Pen-and touch settings are missing from control panel.
   • even though monitor supports the touch screen windows says "pen or touch input is not available for this display. "

 

Wake monitor on touch screen

I have a Windows 10 machine and just purchased a 15inch monitor touch screen. It works great just plug and play. However, to conserve energy and life of the monitor I have the computer set to turn off monitor after 10 minutes of inactivity. Problem is touching the screen will not wake it up. And there is no power button on the screen itself. And I plan to have no keyboard or mouse hooked to this machine. There is however a remote which I can use to power on the monitor but touching the screen to wake it up would be real convenient. The computer stays on 24/7 as it serves as a server.

I've done some research about how to wake it up with touch and that seems to be a new feature that is available in Windows 11. However, what about Windows 10? I've also read about adding a reg code to disable modern standby but it states it is used for AoAC systems which I am not familiar with. Here is the link.

Will Win 10 work on non-touch screen or screens?

I need to upgrade three devices to Win 10. One is a single monitor touch screen and two are not. One that is not touch-screen has two monitors.

• Will Win 10 work on the single monitor non-touch-screen device?
• Will Win 10 work on the two-monitor non-touch non-touch device?
