    I have an HP Spectre Portfolio 13" 2 in 1 notebook. These past few months I've noticed the touch screen is not sensing touch input across the top inch of the screen and it gets progressively less responsive as the computer stays on. After an hour, I noticed it lost response from the top 3 inches. I've updated to the most recent build with no improvement. I haven't really had any other issues. Anyone have a solution?

    Were you able to see if your driver is up to date?

    We suggest to update the touch screen driver and check for resolution.

    Follow the steps provided:

    • Press Windows key and X on your desktop and click on Device Manager.
    • Expand Human Interface Devices.
    • Locate the Touch screen driver.
    • Right-click on the driver icon and click on Update Driver Software.
    • Click on Search automatically for the updated driver software.
    • Follow the onscreen instructions to update the touch screen driver.

    Thanks for your reply. I actually downloaded and installed all of the Inspiron 7568 Windows 10 (64-Bit) drivers from Dell after I installed Windows 10. This includes the three drivers that you suggested. The touch screen has not worked at all. Everything
    else seems to be working properly. There are no warning "splashes" for any device in Device Manager and no unknown or "Other" devices. I have read that there should be a listing under the Human Interface Devices section labeled "HID-compliant Touch screen",
    but there is no such listing. Only "HID-compliant Touch" which I believe is the touch pad.

    I am very frustrated.

    Hi,

    We sure can provide some troubleshooting steps before you decide to get help from your laptop's manufacturer. Please follow the suggested solutions below:

    Method 1: Check if the touch screen driver is enabled.

    • In the Search bar, type Device Manager.
    • Locate Human Interface Devices and look for touch screen.
    • Right-click touch screen and check if it is enabled. If not, please enable it.
    Method 2: Reinstall the touch screen driver.

    • In Device Manager, go to Human Interface Devices.
    • Locate touch screen again and right-click it to Uninstall
      the driver.
    • Restart your PC to automatically install the driver.
