Windows 10: Touch track navigation and click not responding

Touch track have stop working but If I connect a wireless mouse it work fine. There is some issue with my internal pad. I had no clue about this coming. Everything else just works fine except this.

This issue might be due to drivers which are to be updated.



I suggest you to update the drivers for touch feature in Device Manager:

Steps:

• Right click on Windows key from the desktop and click on
  Device Manager.
• Expand Human Interface Devices, right click on the
  Touch screen driver and select Update Driver Software.

Also, I suggest you to contact the device manufacturer website and try to update the chipset drivers as well.

Touch Screen problem with Surface Pro 3

See if it works in UEFI mode this could determine if it s hardware or windows issue

1. Select the Start button, and then select Power > Shut down.
2. When Surface is off, press and hold the volume up button and press the power button until a Microsoft or Surface logo appears onscreen.
3. Once you are in UEFI, touch your Surface screen and see if it responds normally. Try to navigate in UEFI by tapping various menu items. Then, depending on how your Surface responds to touch, follow one of these steps:

• If touch does not work on your Surface, your touchscreen most likely experienced a hardware failure. Go to
  
  Device service and repair to initiate a service order for your Surface. If you want to work with a Surface Support Advocate,
  
  contact us.

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.
