Windows 10: Touchpad can not be used and missing from Device Manager

last night my laptop was work properly. But when i use it this morning, there are some problem with my touchpad. There is no cursor displayed. I think the touchpad is disable, so i press fn+F9. But, nothing happen, just display "TouchPad is disabled". I try to solve it in device manager, but my touchpad is missing from there. I look at Setting>Device but TouchPad menu is gone. wireless mouse is work

I try to install Touchpad driver that I download from Asus site, but still not work. Last, I update my windows 10, but nothing happend. I got this thread Thread, follow step by step, but still not working.I want to know what happend with my laptop, and how to fix it?

Touchpad missing in device manager

I have a Lenovo Z70. Touchpad worked when first bought the laptop. It stopped working for no apparent reason and it's also not listed in Device Manager anymore. What can I do to get it to work again?

 

Imaging Devices missing in Device Manager and Webcam doesn't working

Since you mentioned that the said driver is missing in Device Manager, what we suggest is for you to check in the Hidden Devices section on Device Manager. Kindly follow the steps below:

• On the desktop, press Windows key + X and select
  Device Manager.
• Click on View and select
  Show Hidden Devices.
• Check for the webcam under Imaging Devices.
• If the webcam is listed, then right-click on it and select
  Update Driver Software
• Select Browse My Computer for Driver Software and follow the prompted steps.

I want to disable touchpad on Dell laptop


Hello everyone,
My laptop's touchpad works and I don't want it to, because I prefer a mouse. It's a Dell Inspiron 11 3000 series on windows 10 OS.

What I have tried that hasn't worked:

• start<settings<devices<mouse & touchpad<additional mouse options. This opens a window called Mouse Options which has 5 tabs up top, none of which involve the touchpad. The Hardware tab shows 2 devices: the mouse itself, and the USB. No touchpad there.
• windows key+x<mobility center. No touchpad to be found.
• various function keys. No options for touchpad on/off.
• device manager<mice and other pointing devices. Again, only the mouse and usb show up. It appears the touchpad is working without a driver, which is a little spooky.

Any other suggestions? I could try downloading a third party driver, but that seems like a step in the wrong direction.
