Windows 10: Touchpad completely missing in settings and in device manager

I have a new laptop. The first day it worked perfectly but when i turn it on the next day, the touchpad stopped working. Touchpad settings are completly missing from the blutooth and devices menu and also in the device manager. When i tried to install the drivers like HID I2C nothing happens, even doesn't appear on the list and i can't find anything in the bios. I have already tried manually downloading and installing drivers from online and nothing works. My device model is ASUS Zenbook UX3402ZA. Please help me i'm going crazy.

My touchpad is missing from the Device Manager and is no longer working

Hi,

I have a brand new Lenovo LAPTOP-A11TUN29 with Windows 10 Pro. I was searching for information on reversing the direction of the touchpad scrolling. I came across information on a thread here about updating drivers. After doing so and restarting my computer,
the touchpad stopped working completely. When I tried to go back and update the drivers again, the touchpad was completely missing from the Device Manager (before doing so I attached a wireless mouse and am currently using that. That device is listed as the
only device under 'mice and other pointing devices'.)

What can I do to have the touchpad listed under device manager again so that it will work?

Windows 8 version 6.3 Build 9600

Touchpad not working and missing from device manager even when showing hidden files

No HID compliant device apart from the mouse

Was running on Win 8.1 when this happened

Net controller was also missing but I managed to install it

Tried to install SmartGesture_Win81_64_VER3014 to no avail

Most updates do not happen as the system gets stuck on checking for the updates

Would appreciate any specific help as I have gone through many suggestions with no success.

Touchpad Setting missing

Hi there Vallery, I will be your Independent Advisor for today, I hope we can both resolve your problem.

It is possible that the touchpad drive has gone missing or got corrupted.

We will need to check the device manager and see if the Touchpad drive is there or not. If you see the Touchpad drive please remove it.

Here the steps to completely remove a Device off your computer.

Step 1. Use shortcut keys Windows key+ X on Windows 10.

Step 2. Select Device Manager.

Step 3. Expand the entry. Right-click the problematic device, this is either in Human Interface device or Mice and other pointing devices and select Uninstall device.

Step 4. You need to check the option Delete the driver software for this device, and then click the Uninstall button.

Step 5. Reboot the computer.

After the reboot please see it the problem is fixed.
