Windows 10: Touchpad Cursor Lagging

My Lenovo Ideapad 3 running on Windows 11 runs into the issue that when the trackpad is used, the cursor lags behind a fraction of a second. I've ensured that the drivers are all updated and have also noticed that this issue only occurs with the trackpad specifically. The issue by no means makes the device unusable, however it is extremely annoying to deal with.Does anyone have any clue what might be causing this, and if so, what possible solutions might be?

Cursor Lags or Snaps - Not a Mouse Issue

I suggest you to follow the below methods and check if that helps.

Method 1: Follow the below steps to uninstall and reinstall the touchpad drivers and check the status.

• Click start and type devmgmt.msc in the start search box and press
  enter.
• Expand Mice and other pointing devices
• Right click on the touchpad
  driver and choose uninstall.
• Reinstall the drivers from the manufacturer’s website
• Check if it works fine.

Method 2: I suggest you to install the latest mouse drivers for Windows 10 from the manufacturer's website and install
it in compatibility mode and check.

Follow these steps to install the drivers in compatibility mode:

a) Download the audio drivers from the manufacturer’s website.

b) Right-click on the driver and click on ‘properties’.

c) Click on the ‘compatibility’ tab and check the box ‘Run this program in compatibility
mode for’ and select Windows 8 operating system from the drop down.

d) Click on ‘Apply’ and click ‘OK’
and run the file to install it.
