Touchpad Driver Missing from the mice and other pointing device and touchpad stopped responding

I am running windows 11 in my lenovo laptop. Today when I opened my laptop my touchpad was not responding. I tried to turn on and off manually but that didn't work. Then I searched for touchpad in the settings and there were no touchpad settings. I checked the device manager system but there was no touchpad driver available. I searched for the installation of the driver from the lenovo support but drivers are not available to install in there

I want to disable touchpad on Dell laptop

    Hello everyone,
My laptop's touchpad works and I don't want it to, because I prefer a mouse. It's a Dell Inspiron 11 3000 series on windows 10 OS.

What I have tried that hasn't worked:
    • start<settings<devices<mouse & touchpad<additional mouse options. This opens a window called Mouse Options which has 5 tabs up top, none of which involve the touchpad. The Hardware tab shows 2 devices: the mouse itself, and the USB. No touchpad there.
    • windows key+x<mobility center. No touchpad to be found.
    • various function keys. No options for touchpad on/off.
    • device manager<mice and other pointing devices. Again, only the mouse and usb show up. It appears the touchpad is working without a driver, which is a little spooky.
Any other suggestions? I could try downloading a third party driver, but that seems like a step in the wrong direction.
    Thanks

    Hi,

I apologize for the delayed response.

Kindly reply: Do you receive this error every time you login to the system?

This issue may happen either when the Windows cannot find a path to the touchpad driver. You may go to the specific mentioned path and check if SynTPEnh.exe is available on the mentioned path.

However, you may try the following steps and see if it helps.

    Method 1: Update Touchpad Driver

    Follow the steps.

    • Press Windows key + X key and click Device Manager.
    • Expand the Mice and other pointing devices.
    • Right-click on the Touchpad Driver
      and select Update Driver Software.
    • Wait for sometime and check if the issue persists.
    • Restart your system.
    Method 2: Reinstall Touchpad Driver

    Follow the steps.

    • Press Windows key + X key and click Device Manager.
    • Expand the Mice and other pointing devices.
    • Right-click on the Touchpad Driver
      and select
      Uninstall
      .
    • Now go to the Manufacturer's Website and download the touchpad driver.
    • Once, the download is complete, run the setup file and install the driver.
Hope this helps. Please respond if you have further related queries.

    Regards,

Touchpad Driver Missing from the mice and other pointing device and touchpad stopped responding

    touchpad

My touchpad stopped working. Instructions said to find the touchpad in the device manager, but the touchpad isn't listed anywhere. Not under "touchpad" and not under "mice and other pointing devices.
