Windows 10: Touchpad driver not installing after clean install Windows 7 in Asus Laptop.

Hi, I have installed Windows 7 on my Asus laptop. After I installed it, the touchpad was not working. I thought, It will install by itself. But it didn't install automatically. So I went to install Asus Smart Gesture Asus Touchpad driver. But it didn't install, it said "There is a problem with this Windows installer package". So now, I have a laptop which touchpad does not work. I can't run my laptop without an external mouse.Any help will be appreciated.

Are you making sure you are trying the correct driver for the WiFi... They list Broadcom, Intel, and/or Realtek.

Also, try to run the installer as an administrator install.

If that fails... try extracting the files and manually install the driver.

If you having an issue installing a driver that worked before you formatted or wont install on a fresh build, sometimes this means hardware damage

Step 1
reinstall windows from scratch
Step 2
install all drivers from the cd that came with the god damn motherboard *common sense*
Step 3
update windows
Step 4
install misc etc crap like flash java etc etc
Step 5
Install GPU drivers
Step 6
go back to using your pc without issue.
