Windows 10: Touchpad drivers uninstall by themself?

I am running Windows 11 on an Acer Aspire 5 - specifically the 515-54. My touchpad drivers seem to keep uninstalling by themself and I cannot find out how to fix it. I've tried reinstalling the correct drivers, but it still doesn't seem to work. When the drivers are installed they reinstalled once, but haven't since then the touchpad works fine so it's not the touchpad that's a problem, it's the drivers. I am using a mouse but it is becoming tedious to use it, especially when making PowerPoints/vectors because it lowers the precision - atleast from my experience.

How do you uninstall chipset drivers?

I'm installing a new mobo so I need to uninstall the intel 865g drivers to make way for the P35 drivers.

Can't find any uninstall options in add/remove programs and intel chipset inst listed in driver cleaner.

Any suggestions? *Confused

• Right-click on the Start icon and select Control Panel.
• Type troubleshooting in the search bar and click on
  Troubleshooting.
• Click on Hardware and Sound > Hardware and Devices.
• Follow the steps from the wizard to run the troubleshooter.
  

If the issue persists, uninstall the touchpad driver, then follow these steps to check if the issue is driver related:

• Right-click on the name of your PC at the top of the list of devices in
  Device Manager.
• Select Scan for hardware changes to reinstall the device driver, or download and install the latest version from the manufacturer’s website.
