    Touchpad Problems after 1709 Upgrade

I am using Windows 10 on a 2008 Macbook Air, it is working fine using Apple's Boot Camp drivers in compatibility mode. After the latest 1709 update, the touchpad stopped working as it had on the previous update. I got it working again using the driver manager to find the correct driver on the computer. Now the touchpad itself works with full multi-touch but the button is not recognised at all. I used a Live Ubuntu USB to check if it is a hardware problem but it still works fine on Ubuntu. Has anyone got any ideas for what I should do next to try and get it working?

    :)

  2. Touchpad Stopped Working

    1) Yes, I installed some apps updates from Microsoft Store.

    2) No, there weren't any error messages that showed up when I tried to use my touchpad.

    3) I'm using Windows 10 Home Version: '1709', and OS Build: '16299.15'.

I'm very certain that my hardware wasn't the problem because the touchpad worked fine when I checked it after dual booting with Linux.

I'd also like to inform that my touchpad has started working after installing some updates today. But still I'd like to know what caused the problem.

  3. touchpad/trackpad not working properly

Initially after the Windows 10 upgrade, I had no problem with the touchpad. But right after my first restart post the upgrade and a few hours of usage, the touchpad lost the 2-finger scrolling. The most recent problem I am facing is the cursor getting stuck
on the screen (touchpad losing function briefly). The same happened to my friend's laptop - her trackpad sensitivity changed automatically in addition to the scrolling problem.

I looked up the web for a solution and one of the pages suggested a registry change, which I did but to no change at all.

Hi, it's possible you may need to use an OLDER driver rather than what MS has now provided.

    Thank you,
I have just tried the original Boot Camp drivers but they now give an error. The newer ones work but without the button. It is surprising how often you need the button!
