Windows 10: Touchpad speed needs to be faster

I have a sager laptop and use the touchpad on it extensively. The issue is that I have maxed the cursors speed through the synaptic pointer device menu and it is not nearly as fast as I had it on my previous computer (a macbook pro). On the mac, there were numerous ways to go past the maximum speed, but on windows I am having issues finding a way.

thanks for your help! I seem to have a similar issue as Louise. The touchpad seems to not react to changes made in the mouse and touchpad options - so the cursor speed is low and there is a high delay when i try to move the cursor.

For me, Method 1 did the trick. As soon as i go to Recovery -> Advanced startup -> restart now, the touchpad moves much faster and without delay, just as i want it. But when i go back to the usual windows startup, everything
is slow and delayed again. This seems like a driver issue, right? Do you have any idea on how to solve this problem?
