Is there a way of reducing my touchpad sensitivity beyond the limits of the Win10 setting? I have it as the lowest, but still the mouse reacts before my finger actually hits any target.

    :)

    Touchpad too sensitive . . .

    Try 'Additional Mouse Options'

    or
Win key + S (search box)
    touchpad properties

    takes you straight there

or via the Control Panel, Mouse

Hi, touchpad settings ad GUI vary a lot; Synaptics touchpads have at least 3 quite different GUIs for example.

Look for a setting called palm check - designed for exactly what you describe. Example:

Another useful setting adjusts sensitivity, which you are already using: e.g.

The other option is to have the touchpad automatically disabled when the mouse is connected. This used to be easy, but now seems less common.

Sadly this has been typically only made available for so-called precision touchpads.

There are 'hacks' to install precision touchpad drivers posted.

So, there are 3 settings to look for.

Then there are programs like this... no idea how effective they may be:

I do NOT have the piggybacked touchpad control as with my previous machines:

All I have is the lame controls under "Settings/Devices/Bluetooth/Mouse/Touchpad."

"Advanced" or "Additional Settings" under "Touchpad" just takes me back to the above picture or to advanced gestures -- none of which address my problem.
