Windows 10: Touchscreen functions everywhere but the Windows 10 UI

Hey there, I have a laptop that I have been restoring and for some reason with Windows 10 I can't tap anything. The touchscreen is functioning but it doesn't "mouse click". If I drag something like a window it will snap back to it's original location, if I hold for a right click the square graphic will stay and not go through with the right click. The touch screen appears to function correctly if I use it under Win7 or 8.1. The touch screen is one of them finicky N-Trig "DuoSense" Digitizers. It shows up as a Pen and Single Touch screen. In chrome, Minecraft, ect, it works fine. If I tap something the circle ripple will show and the thing I tapped will show that it was hovered over. For instance the exit window button will show red for a short time.

Tocuhscreen keypad not fully functional on Windows 10 Login

After upgrading to Windows 10 on a Dell All-in-one, and trying to use the touchscreen to type in the login pin, all buttons on the touchscreen, except the number 1 (one) function as normal - touching the area for the "1" get no response, nor recognition
highlight as appears with all other keys. We can use touchscreen functions and popups everywhere else without issue. I can nuse the keyboard number pad/keyboard as the workaround but seems odd

 

Advancement for NSeries!

What I would suggest in the upcoming NSeries is that they will still stick with the sliding model but with a little differents. What I mean is instead of only upgrading the N96 with a touchscreen functionality, why not they implement a dual touchscreen
with 3-way slide (left, right & down) model. Whereas, not only the display has the touchscreen function but the button key or I call it UI keypad aka similar to samsung soul keypad, also use the touchscreen function. Where sliding it to the left will appear
a certain keypad or sliding the phone towards down will appear the qwerty keyboard etc.

As I can see this not only can put a bigger screen for the next generation handphone but might as well put handphone to a much advance level.
