Windows 10: Touchscreen has flipped - incorrect location selected when screen is tapped

Hi, I recently had my Laptop repaired through HP. However, the touch screen has flipped. Whenever I tap the bottom of the screen, the parallel spot on the top of the screen is selected, and vice versa. The closer to the middle I tap the screen, the closer the spots are, and they only meet directly in the middle, where the correct tap location is selected. Reorienting the display does not fix this problem. I'd be grateful for any help!

Sony Announces US Availability for the VAIO | Flip PCs and Tap PCs

Sony today announced pricing and availability for the VAIO | Flip PC, a brand new form factor that instantly goes from laptop, to tablet to viewer mode with a simple flip. Sony also revealed pricing for the VAIO Tap 11 Tablet PC, the world's thinnest (0.39") Windows 8 tablet with 4th generation Intel Core Processors, and its next evolution of the portable all-in-one PC, VAIO Tap 21. Expected to be available just in time for the holiday shopping season, the fall VAIO line-up offers powerful PC performance designed to support both entertainment and productivity.

The VAIO | Flip PC, Tap 11 Tablet PC and Tap 21 all-in-one PC are now available for pre-order from Sony and Best Buy for about $1099 (VAIO Fit 13A | Flip PC), $799 (VAIO Fit 15A | Flip PC), $749 (VAIO Fit 14A | Flip PC), $799 (Tap 11 PC) and $999 (Tap 21 PC). Location setting

Hi,



This issue could occur due to incorrect location settings or it would depend on your IP address. We suggest you to check the location settings of your PC, and check if it helps. Here are the steps:

• Click the Start button, and select Settings.
• Go to Privacy, and choose Location.
• Make sure that the Location service is On.

If issue persists, then it has something to do with your IP address. It’s because the location detected depends on the location set on your IP address.

This issue might occur if there is change in touchscreen settings or touchscreen driver.



To assist you better, please provided us the information below:

• Are you getting any error message?
• What is the make and model of the computer?

I suggest you to follow the methods below to run hardware troubleshooter and also try to update touchscreen driver in the Device Manager. Check if it helps.

Method 1: I suggest you to perform the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter. Check if it helps.

1. Click on Search bar.

2. Type “Troubleshooting” without the quotes and click on
Troubleshooting.

3. Click on View All on the left panel of the screen.

4. Click on Hardware and Devices.

5. Click on Next and follow the prompts to run the troubleshooter.

If the issue still persist, refer to the below method.

Method 2: I recommend you to update the touchscreen driver in the Device Manager and check if it helps.

1. Press Windows Key + R Key.

2. Then type “devmgmt.msc” without the quotes and hit on
Enter Key.

3. Expand Human Interface Devices.

4. Right click on the driver and click on Update Driver Software.
