  2. TPM enabled in BIOS but no device detected

I have enabled TPM in the BIOS but it does not detect a device. Not in the BIOS or in the device manager.

I have no security devices and it is also not listed in the system devices.

I checked my hardware and it should be capable of tpm 2.0

Motherboard: MSI MPG 570 Gaming Plus

    CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X

I read a lot of articles about this, but in every case, the computer at least detected something to be then able to re-install a driver or something.

TPM not detected in Windows 11 but enabled in BIOS

    Hello,

Apparently the TPM is missing the two following keys (called "variables") in the BIOS' secure boot menu:

    Authorized timestamps

    OsRecovery Signatures

I tried restoring factory keys and resetting the BIOS and it still can't find these keys, and Windows still isn't able to detect my TPM in the Device Manager.

Do you know if there is a solution to reset / flash or update the TPM firmware ?

From the BIOS it seems to an AMD firmware v. 3.87

    Many thanks, in advance.

    No TPM module is detected

    Hi, MatthewDHeron

    Welcome to the Microsoft Community.

It seems you’re dealing with a tricky situation. Here are a few steps you can try:

    1. Check If TPM is Disabled in BIOS: In some cases, the TPM module might be disabled in your BIOS. Go into your BIOS settings and look for a setting related to TPM. It is often under the “security” tab, but it can vary based on the manufacturer. If it’s disabled, enable it.
    2. Clear the TPM: If TPM is enabled but not detected, you may need to clear it. This option is also usually found in the BIOS settings. Be aware that clearing TPM will remove information created by the TPM that is used to decrypt encrypted data. Without this information, the data is un-recoverable.

Disclaimer: Microsoft provides no assurances and/or warranties, implied or otherwise, and is not responsible for the information you receive from the third-party linked sites, or any support related to technology.

If you are going to modify BIOS Settings, please back up all your personal files first to ensure you do not lose data.
    3. Update Your BIOS: If you’re still having trouble, you might need to update your BIOS. Check your manufacturer’s website for details on how to do this.
    4. Check for Hardware Issues: If none of the above steps work, there might be a hardware issue with your TPM module. You may need to contact your manufacturer or a computer repair service for further help.
If there is anything not clear or I can't understand your problem, please do not hesitate to let me know.
