Windows 10: TPM

Hi , I recently installed bios for asus tuf gaming x570 board, new firmware for ftpm chip was installed. When the system boots up, a monolith is displayed asking you to change your PIN. Even though I have an internet connection, as evidenced by the icon in the bottom right corner, I am not able to connect to my microsoft account, there is a message that there is no internet connection. So how do I update the PIN if Windows 11 won't connect to the account???

TPM update

Don't know if this is the right place for this thread but whatever, laptop informed me that " a firmware update is needed for you security processor (TPM)," now, i looked up what to do and from a microsoft support thing, the last step says to clear the tpm. it has a warning saying to back up my data, i would like to know what clearing the tpm does, and what measures i need to take to make sure nothing goes wrong.

It's clear as mud. As far as I can tell, it's specific to Windows, not necessarily activated programs like MacAfee, games, etc etc etc. MS Office, I have no idea.

Sounds like it was using the tpm to encrypt the main drive. Certainly not the norm. Also, the fact that you could not log in suggests the computer may be illegally repackaged or stolen.
