    In the last months I have started studying networking in my free time as I have lived far too long with trashy internets and wanted to understand more about their inner workings.In the last month my internet has been very bad but only now I have taken an interest to see why was it so bad, so I tried the tracert command towards google DNS, as a lazy excuse to not download wireshark or something else. I noticed that the connection between my computer and the gateway was being very slow, frequently ranging between 10ms and 200ms, so I knew something was wrong because in my other place I used to h

    having issues running traceroutes

    I am running into an issue when I try to run traceroutes it seems to always timeout on the second hop. Any suggestions on what could be causing this or how to fix it?

    Windows and CMD- renaming a file in CMD

    Steps I've done

    Here what happens


    • turn on PC

    • start windows

    • get blue screen ( message NTFS file)

    • it reboots returns to diagnosing PC

    • Diagnose and repair fails

    • I move to advance options

    • will not reset windows , I click on CMD

    things I've tried
    commands:

    reagentc /disable

    reagentc /enable

    *************************FAILED
    not recognized
    **********************************

    Please advise

    Traceroute cmd

    having issues running traceroutes

    I have Windows 10, and I am unable to use the TRACERT command using my Command Prompt.

    From what I am reading on this forum, others have windows 10 and they HAVE this TRACERT command.

    I entered help, and there is no such command displayed.

    Please advise me as to how I can get this TRACERT command, as I find it highly useful in cases of sluggush response.
