    Im really sure this is not a driver's issue because I have tried it many times, and it does not change anything. When I press any key in the keyboard that isnt the keys the special keys like ctrl, fn, or alt the cursor controlled by the trackpad stops for a couple of seconds, it's really annoying when you try to play games with the trackpad, makes me wanna change to an apple laptop. Im really sure that it is a setting somewhere within windows because I've researched a lot, and apparently it was available to change in the synaptic control panel in Windows 7 or something like that, but I never m

    Windows 10 Track pad failure

    Hi,

    Welcome and thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community. Welcome to Windows 10 family.

    I would suggest you to install all your Windows Updates as this seems to be a driver issue. If the issue still persists, try updating your track pad drivers from Device Manager and check. Please follow the steps below and check:

    • Open Device Manager by pressing Windows key + X, click on
      Control Panel; select System and Maintenance.
    • Click on Device Manager.
    • In Device Manager, locate track pad drivers and double-click to check if it’s working properly.
    • Go to Driver tab, then click on Update Driver. And follow the instructions.

    Track pad freezes when I type on the keyboard

    Surface Type Cover Pro 4 keyboard not working after Update, backlight and track pad work

    I have tried every fix offered by Microsoft and those I could find on the internet.

    After a recent update, my Surface Type Cover keyboard stopped working. The backlight and track pad work fine.
