    Track Pad Not Giving All Functionality


    Hello Community!A small and ignorable issue I have. My laptop's track pad only moves the mouse or does the normal click functionality on tapping it, which is normal for every touchpad. But what is also normal for other touch pads is the other gestures that they have, the scrolling or window changing etc etc. But mine doesn't have those. I browsed online for solutions and all I found was to change the driver from the list of available drivers to the touch pad driver. I searched but I do not have that driver. The current driver is the PS 2 Compatible mouse. Please suggest a solution anyone, Than

    Windows 10 Track pad failure

    Hi,

    Welcome and thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Community. Welcome to Windows 10 family.

    I would suggest you to install all your Windows Updates as this seems to be a driver issue. If the issue still persists, try updating your track pad drivers from Device Manager and check. Please follow the steps below and check:

    • Open Device Manager by pressing Windows key + X, click on
      Control Panel; select System and Maintenance.
    • Click on Device Manager.
    • In Device Manager, locate track pad drivers and double-click to check if it’s working properly.
    • Go to Driver tab, then click on Update Driver. And follow the instructions.

    Track Pad Not Giving All Functionality

    Is there a way to disable the track pad?

    My computer has a track pad pad. I use mousekeys and a computer mouse, and I never use the track pad. Is gets bumped frequently, and I want to just turn it off.

    Is there any way to completely disable the track pad?
