Windows 10: Trackpad icon blinking on Windows 10

The trackpad icon rectangle with two smaller rectangles on the bottom edge keeps blinking on the top left side of the screen. I've toggled the touchpad on or off multiple off, have rebooted the laptop multiple times, but to no avail. I use a mouse along with the laptop - and have since the beginning - but about two days, the trackpad stopped working altogether, along with this blinking sign.


Any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

the Toshiba website has no windows 10 listing of drivers for my model p50w-b00f (yet).

The trackpad on/off button does nothing.

note: the trackpad does work while booting. the little circle on black screen.

No. Because the troubleshooting guide on device manager wont even resolve my solution as it is also a basic and one of the primary steps to do but no avail. Tried installing powerplan7 and trackpad++ suggested by relentless on apple forums but with
no success for me. Until now i can't use windows 10 installed on my macbook pro 15inch late 2008 because of the trackpad/touchpad failure.

As a work around, I suggest you to download and install the latest graphics drivers from your computer manufacturer website and check if it helps.
